Outlook Express 6 Email Authentication

1. Open Outlook Express.
2. Click Tools > Accounts (left figure below).
3. On the Mail tab, select the e-mail account you would like to edit and click the Properties button (center figure below).
4. From the account properties form, on the Servers tab, check the My server requires authentication checkbox (right figure below).
5. Click OK, then Close. It might be necessary to close and restart Outlook Express for the changes to take effect.
